Margrethe and Tim -- Brian is a warm and welcoming host, and has prepared a wonderful experience for you while you visit Oswego. Everything is well thought out, ready for you to enjoy a clean and comfortable living experience better than any hotel. The location is perfect for walking to anything in town so we parked our car during the majority of our visit. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Brian was a wealth of information about the area and all of his suggestions proved to be exactly what we were hoping to experience. You won’t regret choosing the Kingsford & Higgins B&B. We look forward to our next visit and you will too.
Danielle and Jade -- Brian and Jenny's Bed and Breakfast is absolutely beautiful. A true depiction of who they are. The wonderful couple is warm and inviting. Brian was super prompt in communication, offered local restaurants and places to explore. Brian was extremely thoughtful , he met us at the entrance to the grand bed and breakfast. Helped us with our bags, talked to us about the home, helped us to our room, offered us alternatives to make us comfortable (oatmilk and almond for our tea or coffee) Jenny and Brian allowed us to explore the home (we did it safely with our masks) The bed and breakfast is filled with history, beauty and thing's you should really take in. We spent our evening in the study/library which is filled with books and literature dating back to the age of the home. We came across James Baldwin books that aren't in our collection and couldn't put them down. The super host allowed us to borrow the books as we traveled to another airbnb around the corner. We decided to sit in another portion of the house in the morning (The woman's room) which is decorated as the rest of the household in eclectic, historic elegance. Jade was able to work on her upcoming book and I continued Baldwin. I stumbled upon this bed and breakfast after booking another space for Saturday through Monday. I am so happy we were able to take in the Kingsford Higgins Bed and Breakfast for a evening and afternoon. I wish our stay was longer. We will be back in the fall. What a gem. If you are looking for peaceful, beautiful, warm and inviting space while in the Oswego area Brian and Jenny's place is the one. If you enjoy art, architecture, history and homes that still represent why they were built. Brian and Jenny's place is for you. If you enjoy host who like getting to know their guest. Brian and Jenny's place is for you.

Steven -- This place is outstanding. A slice of yesteryear in all its glory in the middle of Oswego. The house is beautifully maintained and Brian is a fantastic host. We had full access to everything we needed. The only negative is we didn’t have more time to enjoy it. Our room was a very good size, with enough space to feel at home. The bed is extremely comfortable. Brian was there to greet us and was extremely helpful and pleasant. I would certainly recommend this place, as we will certainly be returning on our next visit to town.

Translation by Systran.net -- Brian is a very warm and friendly person who has been to the care of us, to the smallest detail .. He even walked us to the intersection of the roads to show us the harbor by advising us on the beautiful sunset of Lake Ontario We are delighted and we will come back! We recommend this sumptuous residence with your eyes closed.

Timothy -- Brian does a great job! He was very accommodating friendly, and hospitable. He offers a very clean, beautiful place - quiet and comfortable. Nice dining rooms, sitting rooms, and large porch area. The breakfast was well prepared and fresh. Brian immediately remembered our food preferences! The house is located in a nice, safe neighborhood with good restaurants within walking distance. The lake and the river are also within walking distance. Parking is not a worry. I would highly recommend!
Fred -- Brian and Jenny were very hospitable. A beautiful place that felt very " HOMEY". Breakfast was delicious and we definitely look forward to returning. Thanks again!
Jim -- Brian and Jenny were wonderful hosts. The place was very clean and beautifully kept up. It was very quiet and the bedroom was secluded with its own bathroom. The hosts were extremely friendly. We had breakfast in the morning which was black raspberry French toast casserole. Which was delicious. Brian was very caring if we had any food allergies or if we didn’t want a specific item for breakfast. If I am ever in Oswego I would definitely stay again!
Tricia -- FANTASTIC FIND! Brian & Jenny are wonderful hosts, and provided my in-laws with anything they could possibly need or want to make their stay comfortable. I searched high and low for a place where my visiting in-laws could stay for two weeks. After engaging in correspondence with Brian, I knew his place was the perfect fit! He responded quickly with any questions I had, and from when my in-laws checked in to when they left, Brian & Jenny were amazing! They loved the DELICIOUS breakfast every morning, along with the charming conversation, the house is full of Oswego history, and they are both very knowledgeable about our beautiful city! I had the pleasure of visiting and meeting Brian & Jenny and the home is beautiful, every room is just warm and inviting. They provide Wi-Fi, but you will find yourself putting down the electronics and getting lost in the ambience and solitude that each room offers.... Do yourself a favor and book your time in Oswego with Brian & Jenny, you will be glad you did!
William -- Brian and his wife were great host, they treat you like family, but yet you have your own privacy... the house is immaculate, the place is located in a perfect location safe, friendly, neighborhood.
Brian -- Best AirBnb experience to date. Beautiful place. Outstanding host. Can't say enough good things. Top notch.
Matthew -- Beautiful home!!! Amazingly clean. One of the best places to stay in Oswego!!!
Anne -- This home was absolutely stunning! Brian was prompt with communication and sharing information about the house. He greeted us upon arrival, gave us a brief tour of the house and showed us to our room. We felt very comfortable coming and going. The home was beautifully decorated and spotless. The bed was comfortable and the bath was well appointed. I highly recommend the breakfast as both mornings it was delicious. We had the good fortune of perfect weather and enjoyed spending time on the wrap around porch reading and dozing off - the gardens were also beautiful. We were able to walk to restaurants and night life just a few blocks away. Next time we visit Oswego this will be our number one place to stay. Many thanks to Brian and Jenny for opening the door of their extraordinary home to us.
Kelly -- This is my second time staying at Brian's place and again the experience was outstanding! This trip was special because it was a Mother's Day gift for my mom and mother-in-law to visit my daughter at college. Brian had just opened the third room and we were lucky enough to stay in it. This new room is absolutely gorgeous! Every detail thoughtfully planned. I stayed in the daybed and my mother-in-law in the sleigh bed. Both were comfy. The is spacious, with plenty of room for a third person. The bathroom was clean and had all the amenities needed. Very soft bath towels! Breakfast was delicious and vegetarian friendly. Brian made sure to ask if anyone had any dietary needs. I would highly recommend Brian's place to my family and friends. Thankful I found his place.
Milli -- This is a spectacular home. Our jaws dropped when we entered the hall! Every detail has been well thought out. The bedrooms are gorgeous, the beds are so comfortable you won't want to leave them. The bathrooms are filled with amenities and loads of soft towels - it is truly a 10 star resort. There is a lounge right outside the bedrooms with oversized chairs and the Kuerig at the ready. And I haven't even started to talk about the breakfasts which were divine. My son is a vegan and he made a special breakfast just for him. We could not have been happier. We were attending an event at Syracuse University and it was an easy drive and well worth the trip. If you are anywhere near Oswego in upstate New York take a drive over to Oswego and stay with Brian. It is an amazing experience.
Timothy -- Brian's house is an architectural treasure, though designed and built to impress, it is very comfortable. The woodwork is beautifully maintained, it and the collection of local artifacts are interesting without seeming like a museum. Brian has obviously put much thought into hosting, and carries it off gracefully, thoroughly and unobtrusively. He is also available for interesting conversation if wanted. I plan to return to his place in the future for a longer stay.
Caroline -- Wonderful bed and breakfast in Oswego. I spent 2 nights there felt completely at home. I loved everything about it. My room had a comfortable bed, my own sitting area and a big bathroom. The breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed sitting in different areas of the house. There were so many spots where you could get lost for a little while and read or watch tv. I loved sitting at the window seats. It was close to the town where you could walk to restaurants. Brian made some recommendations for dinner. Stay here. You will love it!
Cathy -- Wow! Understated at best: superb host, close to everything, fantastic food and amenities. Do not hesitate to book your stay here!
Joe -- Our stay at this B&B was very enjoyable. Very clean, wonderful carefully prepared breakfast all in the surroundings of a beautifully decorated period home. We will be back.
Melissa -- This is a great place to stay! The house is beautiful with something to admire in every corner. Brian is a friendly host and makes an excellent breakfast. He also had helpful tips for places to eat and a bit of information about the town. We will definitely try to stay here again!
Jennifer -- Brian and Jenny were very welcoming and friendly hosts! The historical house is very unique and fascinating to be in, and the breakfast was delicious! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come in the future :)
Ethan -- Brian went above and beyond. Tour of the place was nice and felt right at home with the perfect amount of privacy in a shared space. Many thoughtful touches and amenities. Breakfast was great! Brian is a good cook with willingness to accommodate. The space was just around the corner from a lot of local spots.
Nora -- Brian is a wonderful host and excellent cook! His location is pretty central to everything in and around Oswego.
Mary -- What an outstanding place to stay in Oswego! I highly recommend this as an Airbnb/ Bed and Breakfast. Brian and Jenny are fabulous! The interior of the house has been painstakingly decorated in the late 1800's period of the house. It is a museum in itself! Great location. Very walkable and close to the downtown, where there are many interesting bistros, restaurants and stores, and near the river and the lake. This home is clean, comfortable with caring hosts. Great food! Five stars!
Shannon -- Brian and Jenny are the most hospitable and accommodating Airbnb hosts and catered to every one of our needs! Their house is absolutely stunning and at an amazing value for the amenities and luxury of the home. Will definitely be staying here every time I come to Oswego!
Susan -- Every detail of our stay was a delight. From the beauty of this antique gem of a house to the gracious guest amenities like a keurig station, plenty of fluffy towels and boutique toiletries, to the seriously comfortable bed and many bonus guest spaces to enjoy- we will certainly book a return visit! All of this, plus the house is walking distance from the downtown area restaurants, shops and Lake Ontario. If you need to get to SUNY Oswego and don't want to deal with parking, hop a bus just a block away! Brian and Jenny were delightful and knowledgeable hosts, and the included breakfast prepared by Brian, was superb and as sumptuous as the atmosphere of the home. We could not be more pleased with our experience.
Susan -- Brian and Jenny's home is a lovingly restored, 1898 house in the center of the charming college town of Oswego. It's location is convenient to restaurants, shops and just a short drive from the campus. This will be a great place for parents visiting for the weekend. The home is comfortable and immaculately clean. The hosts have decorated with historically appropriate artwork, China, books and periodicals. There are cozy spaces to curl up and read on a rainy day. Brian and Jenny we're friendly, welcoming and helpful. It's more like a traditional bed and breakfast than an Airbnb. But speaking of breakfast, Brian is a terrific cook!
Marcia -- What can I say - this Airbnb space is amazing! From the first contact with Brian on Airbnb to the goodbye at the door, I have nothing but positive things to say! For us, it was perfect for Family and Friends weekend at SUNY Oswego so we could visit with our daughter. Let me say, first and foremost, Brian's home is spotless top to bottom. The breakfast was amazing (nice touch having separate tables but close enough to chat with others if you like...) and the furnishings and special touches (ie, old books, magazines, antiques, choice of lighting, etc...) were perfect for the house. We felt transported back to the 1890's but with all the conveniences of warm and cozy rooms, the comfiest bed I've slept in at a B&B, a great shower with super water pressure and more than enough thick & thirsty towels, Keurig machines for tea and coffee on both floors, a TV room, a secure coded entry system... the list goes on and on! The house itself is gorgeous with a lovely front foyer and beautiful staircase - perfect for a grand entrance, say, for a wedding, etc...! There's even a baby grand piano for "Here Comes the Bride"! You will thoroughly enjoy your stay in Brian's lovely home!
Kelly -- Brian and Jenny's place is truly exceptional. Every detail in every room has been so carefully and thoughtfully planned out, right down to the staging of books on tables , beautiful vases, and period artifacts, to the comfy bed linens. Brian, serves a delicious breakfast in the gorgeous dining room. He shared his knowledge about the history of the house and the city of Oswego when we inquired. They really have done their homework on operating a B&B. We would highly recommend staying here!
Trishia -- This bed and breakfast was amazing. This home is beautiful, clean, warm and welcoming. The entire house is very clean. The bedrooms and beds are very comfortable and bathrooms large and very clean. The breakfast was absolute delicious and Brian was very responsive when I booked the room. He asked about any preferences for food and was very accommodating. The location is excellent for college visits. We had no problem parking and we walked to a wonderful restaurant that Brian and Jenny recommended. We will definitely be back!!
Lisa -- Brian and Jenny’s place is a stunning work of art. From the cozy sitting rooms to the fabulous bedrooms. While the pieces adorning the house are antiques, each one lovingly selected, the modern amenities are as updated as can be and do not interfere with the period decor. It’s the best of both worlds. Location is walking distance from downtown Oswego. Oswego is a lovely town with many eateries, pubs and of course the Oswego River and Lake Ontario. Pay a visit to Fort Ontario. We thoroughly enjoyed the self guided tour, We will be back.
Meghan -- This was not only one of the most beautiful homes I've stayed in through Airbnb, but also had some of the most welcoming hosts. Brian was incredibly responsive prior to my arrival, and during my stay gave a lovely tour and helped get me settled in. The house itself has amazing history and charm and is really fun to explore. The breakfast was also excellent! Will definitely stay here again.
